ritual of compassion

Creative Experience

Conceived by Editions Alaya, this contemporary incense ritual reinterprets the original essence of incense —

connection, offering, and the transference of merit:

the act of dedicating the virtue of one’s practice to the benefit of all beings.

Through collaborations with experts, practitioners, and creative talents,

we explore diverse expressions of contemplative aesthetics.

  China, Japan, and Tibet

· Practice nasal breathing and mindful observation

· Understand the basic materials and tools of the

  Chinese incense ceremony

· Participate in a creative ritual experience on compassion

· Experience a one-to-one session with a premium white

  Kyara agarwood incense stick

· Share a collective Tibetan incense stick formulated

under the guidance of a Tibetan Rinpoche

· Taste three exceptional teas

Incense returns to its original intent as a gesture

of connection, offering, and return.

Compassion turns from idea to practice, from sentiment to presence.

Through this transformation, incense moves beyond material fragrance to become an inner cultivation, a silent bridge between one being and another.

As incense smoke rises, blessings are shared and emotions disperse. Tea brings us back to the body, grounding what was once ethereal. Incense ascends, tea descends, heart and body reunited in stillness.

The ritual unfolds as a quiet journey through four movements,

from self-reflection to giving, from collective blessing to return, forming a gentle circle of offering.
